The Umee Dee Experience

ORIGINS

Now DJ-ing since 2014, her music journey started at age 12 when she fell in love with the electronic soundscapes of ambient electronica. Growing up in the UK, she witnessed the evolution of the electronic music scene in the late 90s. Umee has curated her tastes over time, with special predilection for house, techno and ambient music.

EXPERIENCES

-- DJ support roles at various major clubs in SF including the opening lineup at Public Works in 2017 for techno legends, Pan-Pot.

-- DJing at over 7 Burning Man Playa events since 2014, most notably an ambient meditative set for the
Journey Project via the Robot Heart art car.

-- Umee Dee also regularly participates in the Mioli record label’s events including releasing her first original track on Mioli’s 9 year anniversary compilation.

TRAJECTORIES

In 2022, Umee ventured into her first European gigs including

--ambient set ADE2022 Vrij Palais art collective

--house/techno set at the JK Kaffeestube club (Disco Babel) in Berlin, Germany.

2024 and beyond, EPs for release and further ventures into Europe and beyond.
